23rd September 2007 - Marco & Laura's B&B an Ideal place to stay

"We found Marco & Laura Bed & smile first thing in the morning till last thing at night, we stayed for 3 nights the bed & breakfast is spotlesly clean the room Luna was large and comfortable the breakfast is smashing, if you are going out for the day there is always loads of information from Marco & laura and a map if they have one, the town is lovelly, the lake is beautiful, the restaurant which Marco & Laura recommended La Fonte was brilliant and very reasonable, the cafe by the lake is great, and the bar just around the corner is very friendly and helpful good pannini and good wine and cheap. If you walk around the lake on the opposite side there is a lovely bar/restaurant Miralago with a terrace right on the lake, good food, wine and lager very helpful and freindly like everyone in the area, Bergamo is well worth a visit try the restaurant at the castle right at the top, for a stunning view of Bergamo, again great food lovely wine, my wife & I were planning when to come back before we left a very memorable few days thank you again Marco & Laura."

2nd September 2007 - A lovely place to stay

"Marco and Laura could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Marco met us at the airport and waited when our flight was delayed, he picked us from the local town after a day in nearby Bergamo and dropped us later at a local restaurant. We had a lovely breakfast delivered to our room at the time we requested. The room was clean and bright and we had a lovely stay. Thanks for your hospitality Marco and Laura. Enjoy your trip to India (we will be checking out the website) and hopefully we will visit again one day."

19th August 2007 - Only wished we stayed longer...

"We stayed here for one night, flying into Bergamo and then going on to Venice, my husband and I loved it here. Marco and Laura were fantastic, they picked us up from the airport (recommended if you have just arrived!) and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in the Sole room, really bright and airy, breakfast was served in the room and it wasn't even a problem for them to serve it early as we had a train to catch. The location is wonderful, within a few minutes we were beside the lake, it was so peaceful and relaxing. Would recommend this place to anyone, we just can't wait to go back!"

3rd July 2007 - Perfect Peaceful Location

"We stayed with Marco & Laura for two nights, celebrating our silver wedding anniversary, they could not do enough for us.
They booked us a table at a restuarant and arranged for a terrace table with the most wonderful views, food was great and reasonable as was the wine.
The accomodation has three lovely light rooms and are very spacious especially the "Sole Suit" with the private bathroom, very good value for money.
Breakfast on the roof terrace was a great start to the day with the sun shining. Location of village is superb, the lake has so much to do around it, peaceful walks, fishing,swimming or windsurfing if you fancy a go.
We will be back for longer next time and wish them both all the success they deserve but also wish to keep this place our secret so as not to spoil anything.
Also both Marco & Laura speak very good english and are happy to do so, although I will learn to speak some Italian before returning."

"We stayed at Marco & Laura's house on the first day of our travel and it was a wonderful start. Besides the very good breakfast for which you can list whatever you want to eat and that comes to your bed whenever you want, the village (it was "Monasterello" as far as I remember), the lake (Endine Lake) and the restaurant just near the lake were also fantastic. Don't forget to eat pasta at the restaurant.
The whole village was very quiet and peaceful. The only things we heard in the morning time were the singing of the birds and the rain. So we advise everyone to go there and meet Laura & Marco, very smily, friendly and helpful couple and enjoy their stay."

14th June 2007 - Fantastic start to our first Italian holiday

"Our first time in Italy, and our first night we stayed at Marco & Laura's apartments before heading to Lake Como on the Sunday. Both Marco & Laura were excellent hosts - picked us up at the airport & also cooked us a lovely pasta meal in the early hours of the morning when we arrived at their apartments. The apartments themselves were fantastic. Very spacious, clean and fantastic views. Didnt have too much time to spend in the village itself, but we have made a promise to ourselves that we will return to stay for a week next time, and explore the village and surrounding areas. Overall, absolutely delighted with the service, accommodation and assistance both Marco & Laura supplied. Will definitely be back!"

"Affordable hotel with large rooms and is situated in a scenic town. There are some breath taking views in the town and also in such places as Lovere. Breakfast is served at the time you specify. Both Marco & Laura are a very accomodating and friendly couple. We visited both Milan and Venice whilst being based at the hotel, both of which were great fun. Somewhere I'd recommend to any of my friends or family."

"We had a fantastic stay at B&B MarcoLaura. The lake side location is breathtaking with romantic surroundings and within easy reach of Bergamo airport. We hired a pedalo for 1 hour but ended up spending 2 hours as we were having such a good time, stopping off at a restaurant accross the lake! Marco and Laura are excellant hosts and very keen to make sure that you enjoy your stay. The nearby restaurant which Marco reccommended served excellant food. The nearby bar/restaurant in the park next to the lake was very good for a drink and food and was excellant value for money. We would have liked to have stayed longer as it is a good base for exploring the surrounding area. This is a place where the Italians go on holiday therefore is away from the busy touristy areas and we felt that we were getting the proper Italian experience!"

"This was our first night in Italy: Wonderful!
Marco and Laura are a delightful couple who love to travel and love to help other travelers at their B&B.
The room itself was clean and lovely with a pretty terrace overlooking the town. The bathroom is shared downstairs (we didn't need it in the middle of the night), and kept clean. They provided a nice continental breakfast to our in-room table. More than that, their hospitality was beyond our expectations. Marco helped us get our cell phones activated, using his Italian to make everything work.... he went above and beyond the call of duty, even driving me to the phone shop. They recommended an excellent nearby restaurant. It's a very quiet, charming location just a short drive from Bergamo, with excellent value.
I only wish we had stayed longer. I think a week would have been perfect. Excellent!"

"MarcoLaura Bed and Breakfast was without a doubt the friendliest and best value place we have ever stayed in.
We were having a long weekend away from the kids and it was a great place to unwind. From our late night airport pick up by Marco and Laura, breakfast delivered to our room, great local area and restaurant recommendations and endless friendliness - it was like we were staying with family.
We stayed in the room with the jacuzzi which was FAB, as was the local sparkling wine! Aside from the slightly hard bed, it is difficult to find fault. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.
We certainly hope to return although we would be happy keeping this excellent B&B a secret (but that would not be fair to Marco and Laura who worked so hard to look after us)."

"This B&B was a great place for our family to stay.
Marco and Laura were friendly hosts who brought breakfast to our room on trays. They were easy to talk to because they spoke great English!
The room we had was clean and cheerful, but the mattress on our bed was hard! However, you'll love exploring Monasterello, the lake, the cafe's, and the wonderful Italian restaurant within walking distance of the B&B."

"I arranged a trip for myself and 7 other friends to Italy. We finished our trip by staying our final 2 nights at Bed and Breakfast MarcoLaura.
Marco and Laura are a young couple who are operating a new B&B.
Everything is clean and new, and they are 2 of the nicest innkeepers I have ever met.
We needed transportation early in the morning on both days to 2 different airports, with many women and lots of luggage. They went out of their way to provide that for us at a very low cost.
Their Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful location. We wished we had planned more of our trip for that area. Mountains and a beautiful lake! The B&B itself is really cute, with nice rooms and a great breakfast.
The only drawback to the place is that the mattresses on the beds are not very comfortable, being somewhat hard.
Otherwise, I cannot say enough good things about Marco, Laura, and their Bed and Breakfast."
Plus, the price was the best I found in Italy."

23rd July 2006 - Genossen die Stille

Wir besuchten das Bed und Breakfast von Laura und Marco im Mai 2006 für einen Kurzurlaub von (leider nur) drei Tagen. Es herrscht eine sehr freundliche und familiäre Atmosphäre im Haus und die Gastgeber bemühen sich sehr um einen, so dass mann sich fast wie zu Hause fühlt. Sie haben z.B. auch sofort Tipps gegeben, wo man in der näheren Umgebung gut und günstig zum Essen gehen kann.
Die selbstgemachten Kuchen und Kekse von Laura sind fantastisch - immer wenn wir Abends ankamen, durchzog schon der Duft der frischen Backwaren das Haus.
Wir waren im Zimmer "Sole" und hatten leider keine Zeit den Jaccuzzi auszuprobieren - das wird das nächste mal nachgeholt.
Das aufwändig renovierte Haus liegt sehr ruhig, so dass man sich wirklich hervorragend erholen kann - aber es ist auch nicht weit zu den zwei Bars des Ortes oder für einen Spaziergang um den See.

22nd July 2006 - Real home feeling

Probably the most convinient and affordable place where to spend a nice week end or a long holiday close to Milanand the other cities of the region.
Also perfect the night before flying back from Bergamo Airport, Orio al Serio BGY.
Owners are a young couple, friendly and extremly helpful. Rooms are big, confortable and lighly. Breakfast is delicious, homemade and served at your convenience.
Lake is walking distance. You can enjoy laying down tanning, hire kayak, mountain bike, or just having a stroll around the boardwalk. Definitely the right place for couples and families.
